Christmas Day

We went for a walk on the beach in the morning. Haylie got outfit #1 wet, chasing waves.

We drove over to Sanibel Island for the day, and stopped at a park with narrow trails surrounded by water on all sides. I was more nervous about the alligators approaching and harassing me. But it was a little chilly and overcast, so they seemed to be underwater, because we didn't see a single one.

We drove up to Bowmans Beach, which is supposed to be a good spot for shells. Haylie had fun in the waves, sacrificing outfit #2, which was soaked by the time she was done.

We saw lots of horseshoe crab shells, and some other shells, but nothing really neat. It was around noon though.

Haylie had fun finding little lizards.

In the evening we went to see "The Princess and the frog" on Ft. Myers Beach. It was one of those Florida movie theaters where they come and wait on you in the theater and have food and beer and stuff. Stefan was impressed by drinking beer while watching a Disney movie.
